Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Mrutyunjay Studio ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects your information when you use the WellDay mobile application ("the App"). By using WellDay, you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile photo to create and identify your account.
- Data you enter — the water and food (meal & calorie) entries you log, and your daily goals.
- Health & activity data — with your explicit permission, WellDay reads your steps, sleep, active calories and distance from Android Health Connect so it can display your activity alongside your logs. WellDay also saves the resulting daily totals to your own private account, so your history and weekly charts are still there the next time you sign in. See section 3.
- Workouts you log — the activities you add manually (type, duration, distance and calories).
- Profile details — an optional display name, and the height and weight you choose to enter. These are only used to show your own profile back to you.
- Push notification token — if you allow notifications, we store your device's Firebase Cloud Messaging token so we can send you the daily reminders you enabled.
- Advertising identifiers — WellDay shows ads through Google AdMob, which collects your device's advertising ID and related technical data. See section 7 below.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the core features of the App — showing your progress, goals, history and charts.
- To sign you in and keep your data in sync across sessions.
- To store your logs securely in your own private account so they are available when you return.
We never use your health, activity or logged data for advertising or ad targeting, and we do not sell your data to anyone. Ads shown in the App are served by Google AdMob and are not based on anything you log in WellDay.
3. Health Connect
WellDay's access to Health Connect is limited to the data types you approve, and is read-only: steps, sleep, active calories burned and distance. We do not read any other Health Connect data type, and we never write anything back into Health Connect.
This data is used to show your activity inside the App — your daily rings, your today summary, and your weekly step, sleep and calorie charts. So that this history is still available when you sign in on another device, reinstall the App, or Health Connect no longer holds older days, WellDay also stores a daily total for each of these four metrics (steps, sleep hours, active calories, distance) in your own private area of our Firebase Realtime Database. Individual Health Connect records, their timestamps and their source apps are never uploaded — only the per-day totals.
We never share Health Connect data with third parties, never use it for advertising or ad targeting, and never sell it. You can review or revoke this access at any time in the Health Connect settings on your device, and deleting your WellDay account (see section 6) permanently erases the stored daily totals.
4. How your data is stored
Your account and log data — your profile, your goals, your water, food and workout entries, the daily activity totals described in section 3, and your notification token — is stored securely using Google Firebase (Realtime Database and Authentication). Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), and access is restricted so that only you can read or write your own data.
5. Sharing of information
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We rely on trusted providers that process data on our behalf to run the App: Google Firebase (Authentication, Realtime Database and Cloud Messaging), Google Sign-In, and Google AdMob for advertising. We may disclose information if required by law.
6. Data retention & deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time — directly in the app (tap your profile photo on the Home screen, then Delete account at the bottom of the Profile screen) or by email request. See our Account Deletion Page for full details. Signing out does not delete your data.
7. Advertising
WellDay is free and is supported by advertising. We use Google AdMob to display banner and occasional full-screen ads. To serve and measure those ads, Google may collect and process your device's advertising ID, IP address, and general device and usage information. This is handled by Google, not by us — we never send Google your health data, your logs, or your goals.
You can limit ad personalisation at any time on your device under Settings → Google → Ads, where you can also reset or delete your advertising ID. For details on how Google uses this data, see Google's partner privacy notice.
8. Notifications
If you allow notifications, WellDay stores your device's Firebase Cloud Messaging token so it can send the hydration and activity reminders you turned on. Revoking the notification permission in your Android settings stops these, and deleting your account removes the stored token.
9. Children's privacy
WellDay is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted transport and access-controlled storage. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
